SATA REMEMBERED

By Mary Kachepa

A Catholic Priest has called on Zambians to honour leaders for their contribution to society.

Father GODWIN MULENGA of St Ignatius parish says it important to recognize the efforts that former leaders made to ensure that Zambia remains a blessed, peaceful and United Nations.

He says sometimes leaders make mistakes like any other person but it is important to honour them.

Father MULENGA was speaking during a memorial service for late Fifth Republican President MICHAEL SATA at Embassy Part in Lusaka today.

He urged the Patriotic Front to continue giving a service to the nation and keep Mr SATA’s legacy by offering checks and balances for the benefit of the country.

Father MULENGA challenged leaders to always put the needs of the poor and interest of the country first like Mr SATA did.

Former republican President EDGAR LUNGU is among many dignitaries attending the memorial service.
