Road accident death toll rises

The death toll in the road accident which happened on the Great East Road and University of Zambia -UNZA- Junction has risen to Eleven.

This follows the death of One of the Six injured victims, who were rushed to LEVY MWANAWASA University Teaching Hospital.

Chief Government Spokesperson CHUSHI KASANDA says government regrets the high incidences of road accidents in which many lives have been lost.

Ms. KASANDA, who is also Information and Media Minister, has wished the bereaved families God’s comfort and strength.

She has called on the Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA-  to intensify patrols to help prevent accidents.

The Chief Government Spokesperson has also urged motorists to be cautious on the road.
