Kitwe United assistant coach Kasi Kalande says the team is slowly becoming more aware of their reality of relegation following their 16th loss of the season on Wednesday away to NAPSA Stars.

Speaking after watching his side suffer a 2-0 defeat against NAPSA Stars in an MTN FAZ super division encounter in Lusaka on Wednesday at Woodlands Stadium, Kalande expressed disappointment with the performance of his defenders.

“My defenders have disappointed me in the sense that they wouldn’t concentrate in the last 10 minutes of the game.”

Commenting on the overall performance in the match and season at large, he rued the missed opportunities.

“Yeah it has been the song of the team, we have been creating chances and playing good football.

At the end of the game we cannot finalize our final scores,” he bemoaned.

“We have been working on this training of finishing all the time and it has improved which our fans have seen we creating all those chances, unfortunately, our players cannot convert those chances we are creating,” he concluded.

Kitwe United sits bottom of the log with just 12 points and needs to win all their remaining eight games to stand a chance of surviving relegation.
