REA to electrify Chipangali schools,homes

Christophr Miti-The Rura Electrification Authority -REA- is set to connect power to schools and over 350 houses in Chipangali district.

District Commissioner PAUL SAKALA says REA will commence the electrification project in January.

Mr. SAKALA said this during the district stakeholders’ end of year meeting in Chipata.

And district director of health DANNY SUYA said most health centres in the district do not have proper lighting systems.

Meanwhile Council Chairperson MAXSON NKHOMA called on stakeholders to plan together.

The meeting was aimed at taking stock of the 2022 achievements and plans for 2023.
