PVT SHOWS ECL WINNING

The Patriotic Front says its Parallel Voter Tabulation -PVT – results indicate that President EDGAR LUNGU has a clear lead in ALL its strongholds.

PF Secretary General, DAVIS MWILA has however called on PF members to be patient and wait on the Electoral Commission of Zambia – ECZ -to announce the results.

Mr. MWILA was speaking at a press briefing in LUSAKA today.

And Mr. MWILA said his party has written a letter of complaint to ECZ on lack of integrity and credibility on the results from Southern, Western and North-western provinces.

This is after some PF agents were chased and beaten from monitoring the voting process yesterday by some suspected UPND members.

Mr. MWILA said this made it difficult for the party to account for the votes in those respective areas.

He also said it is unfortunate that the country witnessed spates of violence leading to the lack of credibility in the electoral process.

Mr. MWILA said it is saddening that in some cases life has been lost while others left injured and currently receiving medical attention.

And Former Justice Minister, GIVEN LUBINDA said all allegations that PF members were carrying pre marked ballot papers have been proven to be false.

Mr. LUBINDA said the issue of pre marked ballot papers was predetermined to cause reason for attack on innocent members of the PF.
