PS INFORMATION LAUNCHES MEDIA AWARDS

(NAIS) Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary KENNEDY KALUNGA has called on the media to take keen interest in reporting issues of the environment.

Mr. KALUNGA was speaking during the Launch of the Media Awards organised by PELUM Zambia, Zambia Climate Change Network, Action Aid Zambia, Caritas Zambia and FIAN International.

He called upon journalists to produce award winning stories and articles on matters of the environment and agro- ecology in order to educate the masses on issues of climate change.

And PELUM Zambia Project manager ALFED MIGA said the media award on Agro ecology and climate change is aimed at motivating public and community media houses to start reporting on climate change, social accountability, ecology and food systems.

The media award which is scheduled to be held on February, 22 2022 will encompass five different categories.
