Prof Musonda proud of his son’s achievement

The father to Chipolopolo debutant and Scottish side Reith Rovers defender, Frankie Musonda, says it is an honour for his son to play for the Chipolopolo.

Professor Patrick Musonda, a Mathematics Lecturer at the University of Zambia -UNZA- School of Medicine, says his son had an option of either playing for Zambia or England.

He however says he is proud that his son has been identified by the Football Association of Zambia, FAZ to feature for the national team.

“I am very much excited. It’s been long coming. I was hoping for a long time that he will have an opportunity to play for my country.

“And it eventually came true. I am very exciting, very proud of what he has achieved so far.

He had that opportunity of that he can play for either Zambia or England but obvious I was quite biased. I wanted him to be playing for Zambia. So I would talk to him about playing for Zambia

In an exclusive interview with ZNBC sports, Musonda said he now hopes his son can consolidate his place in the national team.
