President Lungu is our preferred candidate for 2021 – PF Secretary General

Patriotic Front ( PF ) General Secretary Davis Mwila says President Edgar Lungu is the preferred party candidate for 2021.
Mwila however says those intending to contest are free to challenge President Lungu at the convention in 2020.
The PF Chief executive officer says he has explained on the issue and cited other countries where there are preferred candidates.
But Roan constituency Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has charged that the PF should not use shortcuts in coming up with a presidential candidate for 2021.
Kambwili says only the PF Congress can decide on who should head the party anything else will be illegal.
Kambwili who has been fired from government was one of the aspiring candidates for the PF presidency in 2015 after the death of Michael Sata. He is seen as the main challenger to President Lungu for the PF presidency.
