PRESIDENT HH HOLDS MEETS CHAMBER

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has held meetings with the American Chamber of Commerce and other stakeholders, on the sidelines of his visit to South Africa.

The meetings were held today in Johannesburg, during which he noted the stakeholders’ interest in joint ventures with citizens.

The President says among the areas of discussions were mining, tourism and agriculture sectors.

Mr HICHILEMA says like he has always said his focus and priority is to create an enabling environment, which will secure investment, and in turn grow a robust economy for Zambia.

He says this is important and it will provide both employment and business opportunities for Zambians, especially the youth, women and people with disabilities.

Meanwhile, President HICHILEMA has also been hosted on interviews with various media houses in Johannesburg, during which he discussed government’s vision on economic growth, debt burden and how to resolve them.

He says that he also discussed issues of climate change, the fight against corruption, enhancing democracy and good governance the rule of law and regional security.

This is according to the President’s FACEBOOK posting, as monitored by ZNBC news in Lusaka.
