Poultry sector commended

Govt has commended the poultry sector for exporting poultry and poultry merchandise valued at 33 million Kwacha to the Southern Africa Construction Community and the monumental lakes regions in one quarter.
Minister of Fisheries and Farm animals Kampamba Mulenga says 336 metric tones of hatching eggs valued at 17 million kwacha and 22 metric tones of day venerable chicks valued at 14 million Kwacha were exported between April and June this year.
Ms. Mulenga acknowledged this right through the 16th Poultry Association of Zambia Annual Customary Meeting held in Mulungushi Convention Centre in Lusaka below the theme “improve amidst Provide Challenges”
And talking earlier, Zambia Nationwide Farmers Union President, Jervis Zimba acknowledged quasi executive institutions equivalent to Councils, Water Resources Management Company and the Meals Reserve Company are traumatic President Edgar Lungu’s imaginative and prescient to bear Zambia a meals basket within the placement.
Mr. Zimba acknowledged levies, taxes and costs imposed by these institutions are stressing farmers and have ended in a couple agriculture projects across the country to discontinuance.
