President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has challenged Police Officers to introspect in the face of allegations concerning certain vices that tarnish their noble profession.

President HICHILEMA has cited the allegations as corruption and unlawful conduct within the ranks.

The President says government stands in solidarity with the men and women, who tirelessly serve the country in preserving peace and maintaining law and order.

The Head of State has also paid gratitude to Officers that have bravely put their lives on the line in peacekeeping duties in foreign territories.

President HICHILEMA has also saluted those that patrol the streets to ensure every citizen feels safe.

He has urged all Police Officers to always be guided by the principles of law as they strive to serve all citizens, diligently and compassionately.

This is according to a message to commemorate Police Day, posted on his Facebook page and monitored by ZNBC News today.
