Police charge Marshland Limited Directors

Police in Lusaka have jointly and officially charged and arrested three directors at Marshland Consortium Limited for forgery and uttering false documents.Other charges are giving false information to a public officer and making documents without Authority.Police Spokesperson, ESTHER KATONGO has disclosed this to ZNBC News today.Ms KATONGO identified the three directors as TOBIAS MILAMBO, NACHI MUSONDA and RICHARD LUBEMBA.She said all suspects have been released on police bond awaiting to appear in court soon.Meanwhile, the three Directors at Marshland Consortium Limited have obtained an ex-parte order preventing the police from seizing their accounts.This is according to the ex-parte order given to Marshland Consortium Limited ,  RICHARD LUBEMBA,TOBIA MILAMBO , NACHI MUSONDA ,JUSTIN PHIRI, KLEIN SYAMBANGO and MAYBIN SILAVWE.High Court Judge EDWARD MUSONA has set aside the notice of seizure on Bank accounts of Ultimate Insurance Company Limited held at ABSA, Stanbic and Investrust Bank.The respondents went to Judge MUSONA after the police seized their accounts and charged them with Making Documents without Authority and Giving false Information to a Public Officer among others.Earlier on 12 November 2019, RICHARD LUBEMBA and others were given an injunction by High Court Judge MAPANI KAWIMBE restraining the police from  investigating and arresting  them.The suspects where however arrested after Judge KAWIMBE  discharged the injunction on 23rd March 2020, account that the court has no powers to stop the police from investigation a suspect.Upon their arrest the police got a seizure notice which has now been set aside by Judge MUSONA.
