PEOPLE OF CHIKANKATA ASSURED DEVELOPMENT

Southern Province Minister Cornellius Mweetwa has assured the people of Chikankata District that Government will work on the Chikankata – Kasamu road.

Mr. Mweetwa says this is because the road is a commercial road for farmers who deliver their produce to various markets.

He also explained that Government would want to electrify some rural schools in the area so that learners can have access to computer lesson.

Mr. Mweetwa was speaking in Chief Mwenda’s chiefdom during a victory party for UPND that was held to celebrate President Hakainde Hichilema and Member of Parliament for Chikankata Jacqueline Sabao’s election.

He has thanked the people of Chikankata for supporting President Hichilema and the party.

And Chief Mwenda has urged her subjects to continue to embrace the One Zambia One National motto and also to uphold peace and unity.

Meanwhile, Ms Sibao pledged to work with the people in the area in order to foster development.
