Paul Banda joins Power Dynamos

Right-back Paul Banda has joined Kitwe based Zambia Super League side, Power Dynamos, the club has announced.

Banda has penned a two-year permanent deal with the Kitwe giants which will see him stay at the club until 2023. The switch comes after his contract at Lusaka Dynamos came to an end.

“Power Dynamos Football Club ⚽️ is pleased to announce the signing of yet another talented player 💪, Paul Banda from Lusaka Dynamos.

Banda penned ✍ a two-year permanent contract which will see him stay at the club 🏟 until 2023 🗓 with the option of an extension.”

The club was quick to praise the former Buildcon defender’s qualities.

“Banda possesses good aerial presence, man-marking attributes, pace and is calm and collected on the ball ⚽️.

The experienced defender is the sixth player to be signed by the Copperbelt Energy Corporation (CEC) sponsored outfit ahead of the 2021/22 season. Just like the other players, he also brings the desired skills and experience to the club.”

Banda becomes the official fifth signing for Abayellow after the acquisition of striker, Tiki Chiluba from Indeni FC, left-back Cletus Mulolani, from Lumwana Radiants, Winger Wilford Sikanyika from Kansanshi, and enterprising striker, Kunda Musonda who netted 19 goals in the last Provincial Copperbelt Division 1 league from Jumulo FC.

Striker, Tranquilin Kalonji Mwepu’s move from Indeni has a few technicalities pending before it can be made official the ZamFoot Crew understands.

The team is currently preparing for the 2021/22 FAZ/ MTN Super League which kicks off on September 11th.
