Patson Daka and Fashion Sakala Jnr in European action, Edward Chilufya set to miss out

Zambian duo of strikers Fashion Sakala, and Patson Daka will be in action this evening as their respective teams compete in the UEFA Europa league and UEFA conference League respectively.

Edward Chilufya on the other hand is set to miss Midtjylland’s Conference League match against PAOK.

Fashion and FC Rangers have a tough task ahead of them as they travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund at the signal Iduna Park in the UEFA Europa League.

Sakala and his teammates will have to dig deep against a team that has won all their last seven games against Scottish opposition and keeping six clean sheets in the process.

Sakala Jnr will battle for a place in starting line up with ‘the Buffalo’ Alfredo Morelos, Amad Diallo, Ryan Kent and Kemar Roofe.

Dortmund will however be without their goal machine Erling Braut Haaland who is nursing a hip injury.

In the UEFA conference League, Patson Daka will be looking to continue his European competition.

The Kafue Celtic product netted five goals in six UEFA Europa League matches and will look to continue that trend in the newly created competition.

After exiting the UEFA Europa League in December, City’s European journey continues in this new competition, pitting them against Danish Cup winners Randers over two legs.

The first leg tie takes place at Leicester City Stadium this evening (Kick off-22:00 CAT).

In Denmark, FC Midtjylland will welcome Greek side, Panthessaloníkios Athlitikós Ómilos Konstadinoupolitón, commonly known as PAOK Thessaloniki or simply PAOK.

Chilufya penned a long term deal with the Danish side last month and but unfortunately will not make his competitive debut for the club this evening after being left our the match day squad.

The Mphande Youth product netted 17 times and contributed 9 assists in 80 matches for his former club, Djurgådens IF since 2018.
