Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu score in Salzburg’s final pre-season friendly match

Zambian duo of striker Patson Daka and midfielder Enock Mwepu scored a goal each as Redbull Salzburg concluded their preseason with a 3-0 win over Germany lower-tier side Türkgücü München.

Mwepu opened the scores after five minutes before Karim Adeyemi would double the lead in the 14th minute after being set up by Albert Vallci. Patson Daka sealed the result in the 36th minute with a fine finish from close range.

Salzburg was originally scheduled to play Bayern Munich II but after one of their players tested positive for COVID-19 hence they switched their opponents to Türkgücü.

Salzburg will officially start their season on Wednesday when they square off with Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz in the Austrian Cup before facing Wolfsberger AC in the league opener.

Salzburg started their preseason with a 2-2 draw against Slovenian side NK Bravo before thrashing Ligue 1 side OGC Nice Côte d’Azur 4-1. They went on to beat SK Czech Republic side Dynamo České Budějovice 2-0, Suffered a 4-1 loss to Ajax Amsterdam before holding English Premier League Champions, Liverpool to a 2-2 draw.
