Patson Daka a doubt for Botswana games

Zambia national team striker is technically knocked out of next months back to back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Botswana.

This follows the confirmation by his clue Redbull Salzburg that their star forward suffered a serious hamstring injury in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Athletico de Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

According to a post on the club’s social media pages, The 2017 CAF young player of the year will be out for several weeks.

“Injury break for Patson #Daka | Our top scorer suffered a serious hamstring injury in the match against Atletico Madrid. He is expected to be out for several weeks. We wish him a speedy recovery!”

Zambia will host Botswana on 12th November before traveling to Gaborone four days later. The Copper Bullets are in desperate need of wins having suffered two losses in their first two games of Group H.

Daka has been in Sensational form in the 2020/2021 season scoring 12 goals and assisting 6 in eleven games.
