Zambia Women Under 20 Coach Charles Haluboono believes that with the support that the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) gave to the team will do well in the inaugural COSAFA U-20 Women championship. Haluboono says the preparations went on well because they were given everything they needed and he is hopeful that the team will represent the Country well because the girls are ready for the tournament.

This is an Inaugural COSAFA Tournament for the Under’20ss and Coach Haluboono’s main target is to go beyond the group stages and he thinks it’s a fair group despite not playing against the other group B opponents before.

“It is a fair group though we have never played against the other countries before our main target is to go beyond the group stages,” He said.

At the moment, him and his technical bench are expected to tackle tomorrow’s game with a good tactical approach and the main aim is to win the first match to set a good tone going forward. Haluboono knows the importance of this tournament to the players which will give themm exposure at a higher level.

“This tournament is important because it’s giving players an opportunity to compete at a higher level so this is a good step for them,” he said.
