OPPOSITION NO GROUND-PF

The Patriotic Front (PF) in Northern Province says the opposition in the region will have no grounds to convince  the electorate as the ruling party has delivered on most of its campaign promises.

Speaking when he received about 300 defectors from the opposition UPND and MMD, PF Provincial Chairperson, Chungu Bwalya said the opposition will remain irrelevant in the province.

Mr. Bwalya said this is because the PF has delivered on a number of developmental projects in the region.

He cited the ongoing campaigns in Lukashya constituency where he said the opposition will have no campaign message as the governing party is implementing a number of developmental projects.

Mr. Bwalya added that the state of affairs is expected to continue even in the run up to the 2021 general elections.

And speaking at the same function, PF Campaign Manager for the Lukashya by-election, Brian Mundubile commended the defectors for joining the party.

And speaking on behalf of the defectors, Daniel Sikaonga, said the decision was arrived at after witnessing PF’s development in Kasama district.
