Zanaco Football Club has refuted media reports surrounding striker Felix Nyaende leaving the club for Kabwe Warriors Football Club.

This comes in the wake of media reports that Nyaende has joined Warriors and has been training with the Magnificent side. The Bankers posted on their official Facebook page to dispel media reports.

However, Zanaco confirmed that Kabwe Warriors are negotiating with the club for a possible transfer for Nyaende and said they will announce once the two clubs will agree on a transfer of the player.

Nyaende joined Zanaco Football Club from Forest Rangers on April 19, 2017 and has won the Barclays Cup with the Bankers. He made his Chipolopolo debut on May 16, 2012 under former coach Herve Renard.

Currently Zanaco FC is on the Copperbelt for a series of friendly games in readiness for 2019/2020 MTN FAZ Super League and CAF Confederation Cup games. Yesterday, Zanaco drew 2-2 with Forest Rangers in a match played at the Annex Ground at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Guilly Manziba and Zimbabwean midfielder Rusike scored the second goal for the Bankers while the two goals for Forest Rangers came through Nicholas Mulilo and Conlyde Luchanga.
