Nkoloma Stadium to host Absa Cup final

Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium will host the 2021/22 Absa Cup final between Red Arrows and Napsa Stars on April 30, 2022, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.

The final was scheduled for National Heroes Stadium but the 60,000 seater was already booked for Sinach concert on the same day.

“Yes, I can confirm the final will be at Nkoloma Stadium. Woodlands Stadium was an option but other factors also played a part,” a ZamFoot Crew source at Absa bank said on Friday

With Napsa Stars having played at Woodlands Stadium [their home ground] in the semi finals, the home ground advantage talk in the final for Arrows was quashed off.

“Napsa almost started the talk of Nkoloma being Arrows’ home ground but they were reminded about their semi final win over Nkana.

This will be the third Absa Cup Napsa Stars will be involved having won in 2012 and lost the 2017 final to Zanaco.

Arrows, still in the hunt for league and cup double will be featuring in their second final.

The airmen won it in 2013.

The K400 million rich cup is expected to be graced by the Republican President Hakainde Hichilema.

This will be his first official match he will be watching as the head of state.
