NKANDU MEETS VILLAGE KAPUTA HEADMEN

By Wilson Mulinda

Kaputa Member of Parliament ELVIS NKANDU says traditional leaders will play an important role if the new dawn administration is to fulfill all its campaign promises.

Mr. NKANDU, who is also Youth, Sports and Arts Minister, says it is cardinal to engage traditional leaders on any developmental projects that are to be undertaken in their areas.

He adds that it is important for traditional leaders to push youths in their areas to acquire skills and experience that will make it easier for them to find jobs when they are made available.

He says government’s plan is to make life easy for people living in rural areas even if the country has to suffer a little for the sake of economic stability.

Mr. NKANDU said this when he held a meeting with village headmen in Kaputa District.

He said once all plans are initiated, the beneficiaries will be the locals because more teachers and nurses and other qualified personnel will be employed.

And the village headmen have pledged to support government whenever they are called upon.
