Netball Team Goes into Camp

The Zambia National Women’s Netball team is tomorrow expected to go in camp ahead of the Africa Netball Cup which starts on 26th November 2023 in Botswana.

Head Coach LAZARUS TEMBO says the tournament will be used as a build up to the 2027 World Cup.

TEMBO says he intends to produce good results for the country at the Africa Cup.

Speaking in an interview with ZNBC Sports in Lusaka, TEMBO said he plans to mix young players with the experienced ones in order to have a balanced team.

TEMBO, who early this year took over from long-term serving National Team Head Coach CHARLES ZULU, said he aims to improve the team’s rankings and compete with the biggest teams on the continent.

Zambia is currently ranked 5th in Africa and 15th in the World.
