Indeni Football club was Thursday, August 6th crowned Champions of the inaugural EDEN University/FAZ National Division One league following a 2-0 win over Malaiti Rangers on the final day of the season.

Prison Leopards, Young Green Eagles, and Kitwe United came out second, third and fourth respectively to secure promotion to the Super League.

Veteran Graven Chitalu scored a brace to lead Team Oilo to a 2-0 win, secure the league title and confirm their return to the Zambia Super League after six years in Division One.

Prison Leopards were the log leaders heading into the last round of matches but failed to beat Kitwe United as they were held to a 1-1 draw. The result meant both Leaoprds and Kitwe United qualified to the Super League.

Young Green was handed a 1-0 defeat by Gomes but the Kafue based side could not be overtaken by the Ndola side who only managed to finish fifth and agonizingly close to promotion with just a point separating them and fourth-placed Kitwe United.

Kafue Celtic provided the most goals on Thursday beating Mumbwa Medics 6-0 with Zambia U-20 midfielder Albert Kangwanda scoring a brace to finish as top goalscorer with 12 goals.

Zambia U-20 winger Elliot Kampukesa was another youngster on song as he netted a brace to guide Brave Nchanga Rangers to an emphatic 4-0 win over relegated Zambeef.

Chindwin Sentries, Mumbwa Medics, and Sinazongwe United are the other three teams demoted to Provincial Division One.
