National Day of Prayers is important – State House

By Brian Mwale

State House says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s commitment to Zambia as a Christian Nation remains unchanged and strong.

State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA says no manipulations or schemes can undermine President HICHILEMA’s dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his service to the people of GOD.

Mr. HAMASAKA says State House has taken note of the circulation and promotion of an old video clip of President HICHILEMA’s address to party members relating to the National Day of Prayers and Reconciliation whilst he was in the opposition.

He says the video is in response to a rhetorical question ahead of the 2021 elections.

Mr. HAMASAKA notes that the National Day of Prayers is a gazetted instrument and its importance to the nation’s character remains steadfast and unchanged.

He says the day which falls on October 18 remains gazetted in the Zambian statutes and remains unchanged.

This is contained in a statement availed to ZNBC News in Lusaka this evening.
