Napsa Stars duo confident of a positive result against Young Green Eagles

Zambia Super League, Napsa Stars captain Dickson Chapa and winger Austin Banda are confident of a positive result ahead of tomorrow’s clash with newcomers young Green Eagles.

The pensioners are still searching for their first win of the season after drawing their opening two matches of the 2020/2021 MTN/FAZ Super League season.

Napsa Captain Dickson Chapa expects a tight match against the newly promoted but believes Napsa Stars will do anything possible to get maximum points.

“I think tomorrow’s game will be very tight and it will be very tricky looking at the team we are playing, they just won promotion from the national league and they will come to face us looking for a win as well. For us, since we will be at home and looking at how we played in the past two games I think this is the time we need maximum points at all costs. We are very much prepared and going into tomorrow’s game ready,” Chapa told the ZamFoot Crew.

“We definitely playing for a win in tomorrows game and most importantly we are not playing for ourselves but playing for the pride of the team, tomorrows game we are playing for the budget we just have to win so that we can maintain our dignity cause the expectations from people are very high since we are representing the country in CAF,” he added.

Chapa confessed that the team misses the fans as they motivate them every time they go to the stadium to watch and cheer the team on.

”The morale in camp is high the guys are okay even the attitude is positive I saw it in training today everyone wants to win, you will see good results positive results tomorrow,” he said.

” I think what I can just say is we miss the fans, they motivate us when they come to watch the games but they should just keep supporting us and even us we will continue making them happy and work hard for the pride of the team,” he added.

Meanwhile, Winger Austin Banda says the game tomorrow needs a positive mind given how tricky newly promoted sides are at times.

“I think tomorrow’s game needs a positive mind looking at the team, like the captain has said teams from the first division are tricky and unpredictable so we just need a positive mind and give it our all and that will be our turning point,” he said.

“I think tomorrows game is a game whereby one has to take it personally, you know when you are trying to play for yourself but things are not happening, maybe you can take it personally you are putting in crosses but not been scored you can take things personally but play as a team as well.”

The former Mufulira Wanderers wing wizard has a special message to the fans who he says the players will do everything possible in order not to disappoint them.

“I think to our fans we appreciate their effort we have not been with them for like 4months now but going forward the team that has been assembled this season will not disappoint them, They will see more, more than what we did last season.”

Napsa Stars will host the Kafue based outfit, Young Green Eagles on Saturday at Woodlands Stadium with kick-off set at 15:00.

The match will be played behind closed doors.
