NAPSA Pays Out K8.4bn in Pre-retirement benefits

The National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA- has paid 8.4 billion Kwacha in pre-retirement benefits to 381,000 of its members.

NAPSA Head of Corporate Affairs CEPHAS SINYANGWE says 1.4 billion kwacha has been paid to over 56,000 women while 862 million kwacha has been paid out to 69,000 youths.

Mr. SINYANGWE says 1-billion kwacha has also been paid out to over 61 thousand beneficiaries who are currently unemployed.

He has also advised those that want to access their 20 percent pre-retirement benefits to do so as the authority has reduced the time it takes for one to access the money.

Mr. SINYANGWE has further urged NAPSA members to update their personal details on the E- NAPSA database so that the online services can be improved.

He has said in an interview with ZNBC News that doing so will enable the Authority to follow up with missing contributions from their employers.
