Mwepu’s goal against Arsenal nominated for April goal of the month

Chipolopolo skipper Enock Mwepu’s goal against Arsenal has been nominated for the Budweiser goal of the month for April 2022.

Playing in his 13th match of the 2021-22 campaign on 9th April, the Zambia international found the net and provided an assist as Graham Potter’s team subdued the Gunners.

After setting up Leandro Trossard in the 28th minute, the midfielder registered his name among the goalscorers – six minutes after the hour mark – after he was teed up by Moises Caicedo.

Mwepu is up against Antonio Rudiger, James Ward-Prowse, Aaron Cresswell, Miguel Almiron, Connor Roberts, Granit Xhaka, Rodri.

The selection is open to the public to vote on the Premier League official website.

The supporters’ vote combined with the choices from a panel of experts will determine the winner, who will be announced next week.
