Mwepu leads Micho’s 26 man squad for Botswana…As Edward Chilufya, Rally Bwalya, and Clatous Chama miss out

Zambia national team head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named a 26 man squad for the back to back Cameroon 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Botswana.
Redbull Salzburg, UEFA Champions League campaigning midfielder Enock Mwepu leads the squad and is expected to pull the strings in midfield. In-form striker Patson Daka has been ruled out by an injury he suffered during a UEFA Champions League match against Athletics de Madrid away in Spain at the Wanda Metropolitano.
South Africa based duo of winger Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga have returned to the squad but there is no space for Kabaso Chongo, Clatous Chota Chama, Stophila Sunzu, Rainford Kalaba, Aubrey Chirwa, Edward Chilufya, Mwenya Cyril Chibwe and Larry Bwalya.
The squad is dominated by locally based players like Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Chaniza Zulu, Kelvin Kapumbu, Benson Sakala and Lameck Siame.
Zambia will host Botswana on Thursday November 12th at the National Heroes Stadium at 18:00hrs with the return fixture set for Gaborone four days later.
Zambia sit bottom of group H with no point after two rounds of matches and a -6 goal difference after losing 5-0 and 2-1 to Algeria and Zimbabwe respectively.
