Mwepu leads loosening session in Turkey

A bulk of foreign based players invited for two FIFA window international friendly matches have settled in Turkey.

Skipper Enock Mwepu led a small group of foreign based players in a loosening up session this afternoon ahead of Friday’s international friendly match against Congo Brazzaville.

Mwepu was joined by first time call-ups Scotland-based Frankie Musonda and US based Aime Mabika, Swedish based midfielder Emmanuel Banda and Israeli based Lameck Banda.

They will be joined by Lubambo Musonda (Denmark) and the fifteen member squad that left Lusaka for Antalya this afternoon.

Aljosa Asanovic’s charges will this Friday face against Congo Brazzaville and another yet to be confirmed opponent.

Asanovic is using the FIFA window to prepare for the June round of the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
