Mweetwa halts activities at Choma West Forest 48 land

ZANIS-Southern Province Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA has halted activities at the degazetted Choma West Forest 48 land which was acquired by former High Ranking officials in the PF government.

This comes after a petition given to him by the local people who are now being victimized by those who allegedly acquired the land.

Mr. MWEETWA who  visited the area on a fact finding mission discovered that 40 hectares of land was shared by only 8 privileged top officials in the former Government.

He wondered how 1 person would acquire 27 plots when the less privileged in society are squatting on Road reserves.

Mr. MWEETWA said those who are buying plots from the area must halt the process until investigations are done by ministry of lands.
