MUMBI PHIRI, CHILEKWA CASE FAILS TO TAKE OFF

(ZANIS) The murder case involving former Patriotic Front -PF- Deputy Secretary General MUMBI PHIRI and former President EDGAR LUNGU’s barber SHEBBY CHILEKWA has failed to take place in the Kaoma Magistrate court.

This is because the Magistrate BESTING HAMASEKE who is handling the case is unwell.

The duo was supposed to appear before Magistrate HAMASEKE for mention as they await instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution -DPP.

The development was confirmed to ZANIS by National Prosecution Authority -NPF- Senior Prosecutor PUMULO LIKE.

The court has since adjourned the matter to March 24, 2022 for mention and the duo remain in custody.
