More Chiefs toast HH’s victory

ZANIS-Chief NALUAMA of Chikankata district has joined other traditional leaders in congratulating President – elect, HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, for his election victory.

Chief NALUAMA says Mr. HICHILEMA has been elected by all Zambians in order for him to meet the people’s aspirations in terms of revamping the economy.

The traditional leader said this in an interview with ZANIS in Chikankata today.

Chief NALUAMA further implored Zambians to support Mr. HICHILEMA’s quest to develop the country.

And Chief NALUAMA has condemned those looting people’s property in the name of cerebrating Mr. HICHILEMA’s victory.

And Chief CHISUNKA of the Ushi people of Mansa District has called on traditional leaders to remain neutral at all times in political matters.

Chief CHISUNKA says a number of lessons have been picked from the just ended General election where a number of institutions which are supposed to be neutral in politics were compromised.

In an interview with Zanis in Mansa, the Chief points out that some traditional leaders ended up being caught up in taking sides, a situation he said should not repeat itself.

And Chief CHISUNKA has called on President -elect HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to continue with all the developmental projects left by the PF Government.

And a UPND member in Mansa has called on Mr. HICHILEMA to consider changing the law that governs the ownership of surface and underground rights.

BWALYA CHAMA said there is need to harmonise the law saying ownership of surface rights to land without ownership of underground rights has put ordinary Zambians in abject poverty.
