MILUPI warns Contractors

Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI has warned that government will not hesitate to terminate Contracts or blacklist Contractors that will do substandard works.

And Mr. MILUPI says it is important to ensure an effective road maintenance programme in order to get the full lifespan of the roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

He has advised the Road Development Agency -RDA- to consider subcontracting for some maintenance works if it does not have enough human resource.

Mr. MILUPI was speaking during the launch of the RDA 2022 – 2026 strategic plan in Lusaka today.

And RDA- Board Chairperson MULCHAND KUNTAWALA said the agency will scale up implementation of the road maintenance strategy in order to provide sustainable infrastructure for domestic and regional accessibility.
