Mid-Week Wrap: Fashion Sakala on the bench, Mweene keeps another clean sheet

There were mid-week matches in the Scotland and South Africa.

South Africa – TS Galaxy 0-3 Sundowns

Veteran goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene kept a clean sheet as Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed TS Galaxy to move 18 point clear at the top of the PSL.

Amazulu 2-2 Stellenbosch

Zambian duo Augustine Mulenga [Amazulu] and Nathan Sinkala [Stellenbosch] didn’t make the final match day squad for the respective clubs.

Scotland – St Johnstone 0-1 Rangers

Glen Kamara’s early strike was the difference between St Johnstone and Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

Manager Gio van Bronckhorst started with a back three after he recalled Nigerian defender Leon Balogun in place of Fashion Sakala in the starting line up.

Sakala was one of the unused substitutes.

Rangers are second and three points off leaders Celtic.
