MEASLES BREAKS OUT IN EASTERN PROVINCE

Measles has broken out in three districts of Eastern Province.

Provincial health director MATHEWS NG’AMBI says the affected districts are Lundazi, Petauke and Nyimba.

Dr NG’AMBI has since appealed to the people in the region to positively respond to the immunization programmes that are being carried out in various districts.

Dr. NG’AMBI was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Chipata.

He said all the districts health offices in the region have been asked to find and aggressively vaccinate under five children that are not vaccinated against the diseases.
