Mavugo, six others released by NAPSA Stars

Zambia Super League new comers NAPSA Stars have released seven players ahead the start of the new season.

The Pensioners took to their official website to confirm the development.

The seven are experienced defender Amos Simwanza who had been on the books of NAPSA Stars for four years.

Simwanza who is nicknamed ‘Akashimbi’ helped the team survive relegation in the 2018 season.

Former Simba forward Laudi Mavugo who had been with the team since the 2019 Transitional league season has also left the club.

Mavugo was joint top scorer in the transitional season with 10 goals alongside Austin Muwowo and Zikiru Adams.

Others are Midfielder Joseph Malambwa, defenders Victor Mulenga and Kondwani Phiri, goalkeeper Emmanuel Mphasi and striker Kennan Silwimba.

NAPSA Chairman John Chundu has thanked the released players for their time with the club, and wished them well in their future endeavors.
