MATEYO PUT TO REST

Former Inspector General of Police EPHRAIM MATEYO has been put to rest at Kyatanta Royal burial site in Ngwezhi Village – Chief Kapijimpanga’s Chiefdom in Solwezi, North Western Province.

Mr. MATEYO also served as North Western Province Permanent Secretary from 2016 to 2019.

And Inspector General of Police KAKOMA KAGANJA says Mr. MATEYO will be remembered for his contribution in uplifting the standards of Police Officers.

Speaking in a speech read on his behalf by Police Commissioner in-charge of Administration LOMBE KAMUKOSHI, Mr. KANGANJA said the former IG worked towards improving the working conditions of uniformed officers.

And North Western Province Permanent secretary WILLIES MANGIMELA has called on the Clergy to pray over the recent deaths that have hit the country.

Mr. MANGIMELA said the Church should intercede on behalf of the nation as the country continues to record increased numbers of COVID 19 deaths.

Mr. MATEYO’s wife, HILDAH, described him as a family man and a loving husband.

Mr. MATEYO died at the age of 75, on June 17, 2021 after an illness.
