MATAMBO WARNS  INVESTORS OVER  WORKERS TREATMENT

Copperbelt Province Minister, Elisha Matambo has warned that government will not allow investors to mistreat workers.

Mr. Matambo said this when he visited Neelkanth Lime Company to ascertain the cause of the protests that rocked the mining company early last week.

He also warned the union not to compromise matters at the expense of its members.

Mr. Matambo, who is also Copperbelt Province UPND chairperson, also implored workers that have not resumed work to do so immediately.

And Neelkanth Lime Limited Acting Chief Executive Officer, Soni Anil assured the minister that no worker will be dismissed.

Mr. Anil said the company will prioritize recruitment of more workers and ensure that more buses are made available to rectify the situation.
