MAN RUNS FROM CHIPATA TO LUSAKA FOR KK

By Fortune Malata- A man from Muchini compound in Chipata district of Eastern Province, who started his 10-day race from Chipata in memory of the late president KENNETH KAUNDA has arrived in Lusaka.

MORGAN BANDA aged 47, who commenced his run on June 26, said he was motivated to take the race of over 500 kilometers to honour Dr. KAUNDA’s efforts in the liberation of Zambia from colonial rule.

He said loyalty and patriotism were the Hallmark of Dr. KAUNDA’s leadership virtues which he has greatly appreciated.

Mr. BANDA was received by Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary ELIAS KAMANGA and Home Affairs Permanent Secretary MASIYE BANDA.
