MAMBILIMA TIPS MEMBERS OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICE COMMISSION

(ZANIS) Chief Justice Ireen Mambilima has urged the newly sworn-in members of the Zambia Correctional Service Commission to uphold integrity in the discharge of their duties.

Justice Mambilima says members of the Commission should familiarise themselves with several pieces of legislation, statutory instruments and the regulations relating to the public service.

She says the hallmark of public service is fairness, failure to which the decisions made by the commissioners can be challenged in court.

The Chief Justice said this in Lusaka today when she sworn in five members of the Zambia Correctional Service Commission at the High Court.

Justice Mambilima told members of the Commission that the operations of the commission are to oversee the human resource needs in the correctional service.

And speaking in an interview Vice Chairperson for the Zambia Correction Service Commission, Moola Milomo said the new members are committed to delivering accordingly.
