Glasgow Rangers Talisman Fashion Sakala this afternoon inspired the Chipolopolo boys to a four nil victory against Mauritania in the second last Qatar 2022 world cup qualifier played at the Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Sakala bagged a hat-trick in the 37th, 45th and 63rd minute with his counterpart of Leicester City Patson Daka opening the flood gates with his 34th minute strike from a fine Prosper Chiluya’s cross.

Coming from three disappointing outings against Equatorial Guinea home and away, Tunisia in Ndola in the run up to qualifiers, Zambia Interim coach Beston Chambeshi sounded changes to his squad.

The Nkana mentor,  introduced Toaster Nsabata for Mwenya Chibwe in Goal while Zesco United converted right back Simon Silwimba came in for Red Arrow’s Bennedict Chepeshi, with Evans Kangwa also starting.

Zambia, who beat Mauritania by two goals to one in the opening fixture lost it along the way after they were defeated by two goals to nil by group favorites Tunisia in Ndola which was followed by another two nil loss to Equatorial Guinea away from home before settling for a one all stalemate with the later.

Wasteful Chipolopolo started like a house on fire as usual however, but their conversional rate still leaved much to be desired.

Chipolopolo, who have now moved to seven points on the log after this sweet victory will play Tunisia in their  last dead rubber world cup qualifier of this campaign on Tuesday in Tunisia.

The addition of a legion of foreign players was a difference for Zambia’s performance this afternoon.

And Chipolopolo Coach Beston Chambeshi said the win was important for the team as it is a major boost heading into Tuesday’s game .

Chambeshi said he is confident Zambia will beat Tunisia looking at the performance of team in the four nil win against Mauritania .

And striker Fashion Sakala, who scored the hatrick said the victory was more important for the team than scoring three goals.

Sakala said winning the encounter was the most important task for team adding with the current sqaud beating Tunisia is attainable.
