Mabika and Frankie Chisenga’s neutralization on course

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has confirmed that they have mobilized all the paper work needed to neutralize players for the Chipolopolo Boys.

Kamanga is hopeful Government will attend to their request of naturalization of players of Zambian descent in the diaspora that have beeb drafted in our squad.

“Our hope is that government may have attended to our request for the naturalization of players of Zambian descent in the diaspora that we have drafted in our squad. We have mobilized all the paperwork and are hopeful that the process will be concluded in good time for the two crucial matches,” Kamanga wrote.

“We are not oblivious to the fact that the clock is ticking. We have also engaged government in good time to help smoothen the process of support to the Chipolopolo and the Copper Queens that are Africa Cup of Nations for Women bound. There is no substitute for good preparations, and we are aiming for just that.”

Chipolopolo Die Hards reports that as things stand both Aime and Frankie are done with the paperwork and it’s now up to the Ministry of Home Affairs to give the green light as both do qualify to feature for Zambia.

Once Home Affairs are done, both should be issued with Zambian passports then FIFA should be notified after which they too should give the all clear for the duo to feature for the Chipolopolo in a proper International Fixture.

The Copper Bullets were drawn in group H alongside hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Comoros and Lesotho for the qualifiers of the 34th edition of the international men’s football championship of Africa.

Aljosa Asanovic’s men will start their campaign with an away fixture against the 2015 Champions, Ivory Coast on May 30th.

The 2012 AFCON Champions will then host Comoros on June 14 before a back-to-back engagement with Lesotho at home on September 19 and in Maseru eight days later.

The Enock Mwepu captained side will then host Ivory Coast on March 20th, 2023 before wrapping up their campaign away in Moroni with a date against Comoros on March 28th.

Zambia will be desperate to make it to the continental showpiece after missing the last three consecutive tournaments.

Zambia will be looking for an 18th African Cup of Nations appearance.
