Lumwana Radiants unveil new players, Elevate Chewe Mulenga to head coach
Super League side, Lumwana Radiants have elevated Chewe Mulenga to the post of head coach. The club confirmed the development in a press release made available to the ZamFoot Crew.
Mulenga has been in charge of the team in the interim for some time and the club management have now decided to elevate him from his former role as Assistant Coach to Head Coach.
“FAZ Super division side Lumwana Radiants Football Club have appointed Chewe Mulenga as head coach with immediate effect. This comes after the Executive Committee (ExCo) decided to settle for him following the departure of Osward Mutapa, who was head coach earlier this year in the MTN FAZ Transitional season.”
Mulenga will be assisted by John Munkonje and goal keeper coach Silas Simunyola.
The Club also announced that they had acquired fifteen new players and the released of 12 others. Anos Tembo who is on loan from Green Eagles leads the list. The club as also confirmed the acquisition of Circuit City duo of defender Chitoshi Chinga and tricky winger Richard Zulu.
The Uranium Boys have also acquired relegated Maestro United Zambia (MUZA) trio of Gerald Simusokwe, Martin Dzillah and Emmanuel Manda.
The Club also confirmed that they have released Twelve players. Happy Nsofwa, Jacob Phiri, Gozon Mutale, George Quarshire and Andrew ‘Boka’ Banda are part of the list of the released players.
