Luanginga Bridge works completed

Construction works on the 142-metre Luanginga Bridge in Kalabo District – Western Province are now complete.

Road Development Agency -RDA- Acting Communications Manager, ANTHONY MULOWA has confirmed that the works have been completed.

And Mr. MULOWA said works on the 1.8 kilometre embankment connecting the next bridge across the Silanda River has advanced.

He said the connecting road between the two bridges will be constructed to bituminous standard.

Mr. MULOWA said that to avert the flooding between the two bridges, three box culverts are being constructed to more climate resilient standard.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
