Linos Makwaza leaves Jumulo ahead of his Power Dynamos homecoming

Club legend Linos Makwaza is set to make a return to Arthur Davies Stadium as the new coach for Abayellow, The ZamFoot Crew understands.

Makwaza has since informed National Division One side, Jumulo of his departure from the club ahead of his switch to Power Dynamos.

“Coach Linos Makwaza today communicated to Jumulo Football Club that he was leaving the club to join MTN Super League giants Power Dynamos.” reads a statement on Jumulo FC’s social media pages as monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.

Power Dynamos have not yet confirmed the sidelining of interim boss Masauso Tembo but the ZamFoot Crew understands that may be on his way out. Makwaza’s role is yet to be unveiled whether will be head coach or assistant.

Mwenya Chipepo was believed to have been the first choice but looks like the Indeni boss is sticking with the Oilmen.

Jumulo has since wished Makwaza well in his new journey.

Jumulo FC wishes him all the best of luck as he takes up his role at Power Dynamos.

Makwaza has been instrumental in changing the fortunes of Jumulo FC having qualified the club to Division 1 National League in his first year of appointment. The team is currently ranked 4th on the table with 10 points from six games played.

Power Dynamos on the other have endured a troubling start to the 2021/2022 Super League season with only two points to their name after six rounds of matches.
