Lima radio goes on air

The Ministry of Agriculture has established a radio station called Lima Radio under it’s information unit, the National Agricultural Information Services -NAIS-.

The Radio Station is aimed at intensifying the dissemination of agricultural information.

Agriculture Permanent Secretary GREEN MBOZI says the establishment of a radio station under the Ministry of Agriculture will help to enhance the extension service delivery to farmers.

Mr. MBOZI has told NAIS in an interview in Lusaka that the radio station will complement the work of the agricultural camp extension officers in reaching out to farmers with information.

Mr MBOZI has however urged journalists to disseminate well researched and credible agricultural information.

And NAIS Deputy Director STUBBS MALAMBO says the radio station will strengthen the operations of the unit .
