Law Enforcement Agencies pounce on offenders

A combined team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC-, Zambia Police, and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks have arrested 45  people for being in possession of various illicit drugs.

DEC Acting Northern Province Commander MATHIAS KAMANGA says the arrest follows a joint operation conducted in Musenga, Chiba and Location compounds in Kasama district.

Mr KAMANGA says those arrested include 43 males and 2 females and that the suspects are in police custody and will appear in court soon.

He says among the items seized are government medicines that were illegally being sold in a drug store.
