LARGE TURNOUT, AS LUNGU CAST VOTE

Zambians have turned out in numbers to cast their vote in the general election whose polling started at 06 hours with President EDGAR LUNGU being among the first citizens to cast the ballot

And President LUNGU has expressed happiness with the voting turn out in Lusaka.

The Head of state was speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Andrew Mwenya Polling station in Lusaka’s Chawama constituency.

President LUNGU, who was in the company of first lady ESTHER, also called for the maintenance of peace during and after the elections.

He has also encouraged those who are still at home to cast their votes.

The Polling station was opened at 06 hours.
