Kulamba All Set

All is set for Kulamba traditional ceremony of the Chewa people of Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique slated for Saturday.Chewa Heritage Foundation-CHEFU- Zambia Chapter Publicity Secretary, Reuben Kamanga says that this year`s traditional ceremony will be special and different from all the past ceremonies.ZNBC’s Damazio Phiri reports that hundreds of people are already at Makaika in Katete district being entertained by different Chewa dances.Mr. Kamanga has confirmed that Finance Minister, Bwalya Ng’andu will grace the ceremony tomorrow.The CHEFU Publicity secretary has urged people attending the ceremony to come in numbers and not to come in their political regalia.During Kulamba ceremony, Chewa people from the three countries pay homage to their paramount Chief Kalonga Gawa Undi at Mkaika palace in Katete district.
